Movement

It’s January 30th, 2:22am and there is movement on the scout project. After months of winter hibernation, the ball has begun to roll once more.

  • Space has been offered to us in the Worcester area by one of our early supporters, Rick.
  • WPI has also resumed the dialogue in regards to working space for scout
  • We’re working with our satellite transceiver, an iridium 9602, and designing the code that sits on scout an sends us data
  • We’re working on the live view feature for the website. Basically, it is a window that simulates what scout is going through at the moment. Sensor data is related from scout to our website, where it is converted into a virtual medium. In this case, sensor data telling us the height of waves, speed, course, and position of the boat, etc. will be used to automatically update an interactive feature on the website. We’ll have an example live on the website, hopefully within tr next two weeks.
  • We’re hoping to bring scout up on wednesday. If we do, there will be updates here to let everyone know how it’s going
  • Thanks for sticking with us, the end of the tunnel is right around the corner!
